Poor eyesight because of trading?

Helloooo. I’ve been struggling for a while now since I can literally see my eyesight deteriorating. I wonder if it’s just age (I’m 26 btw), or the hours and hours I spend on my computer, trying to watch my charts and spot good trades. :open_mouth: But I figured, since a lot of you guys are also in front of your monitors regularly, how do you protect your eyesight from getting damaged? :open_mouth:

Hi, I can suggest good glasses ( with filters ), monitor with filters, eye drops, good comfortable chair ( not for eyes, but your back will thank you  ) Regards Greg

You may need proper reading glasses - go to an optician for an eye test, then ask for tinted lenses.

I couldn’t look at screens without dark tinted lenses. :sunglasses: :ok_hand:

Have you considered a blue light filter on your monitor? I put one on my laptop.

Jeez. I was looking for an article to share, and I just read that blue light isn’t harmful, according to this.

I don’t know what you mean, but thanks

First of, you might want to get a professional help to examine it. With that being said, regular exposure to the screen causes serious issues to the eyes especially at night. Most times I put the room light on and on occasions use sunglasses, you can try that too.

If you looking at the monitor daily, i would suggest wearing computer glasses to help protect your eyes somewhat. Also, get up and walk around or go out for some fresh air once in a while so you arent continuously looking at the monitor for a very long extended period of time.

Take proper care of your eyes. You are still quite young. Trading requires long hours of sitting in front of monitors, which can be detrimental to your health. It is preferable to take a break every 30 minutes. You can also use some good glasses while working on the computer.

You might be suffering of digital eye strain syndrome. Go talk to an optician as soon as possible.

I do use eye drops when I’m online for more than a few hours to make sure my eyes stay lubricated enough. But don’t do anything on your own as it can be harmful. Get a prescription from a specialist first.

I don’t use anything; although I spend more than 12 hours on screen!

Try Blue Light glasses, they are meant to be good at filtering out the light coming from your screen.

Please go to an eye specialist doctor! Besides, if you are an official windows 10/11 user then use the night-light mood!
