Possible imposibility?

Honestly speaking if you are starting with $50 capital, there are better uses of your time than trading.

As far as I can see you trade part time? so when you trade full time you get back to me lol

Textbook answer yes, still the correct one, if you believe emotion should have a place in trading then your :30:

I wanna see this documentary movie as well! In fact, why not make it a full movie, a sequel to Wall St 2 - Charlie Sheen can play your role perfectly.

I don’t believe emotion should have a place either. But it does. It’s always there scratching away at your humanity.

Wait until you graduate past penny pips. If you ever do. Lesson for the day here: The textbook is wrong about a lot of things. Especially about how to be a consistently profitable trader.

Just for the record, I don’t have a job, I have hobbies. None of them involve manual labor, or a cubicle. Ill be out on the golf course while you are in the middle of your work week on Tuesday morning.

Ill be out on the golf course while you are in the middle of your work week on Tuesday morning.
Sounds boring…Are you allowed to bring alcohol on to the course at least?!

It’s almost a prerequisite.

Some bring their own, some buy there. For me, it all depends on how hot the cart girl is.

We had a work organised golf day where the buggies were just jam-packed with drink. Most of the guys weren’t golfers so they hit the drink, needless to say most of them were done by the 12th & those that made it to the 16th witnessed some awesome cart drifting & a rather impressive barrel-roll with beers, people & clubs being thrown everywhere.

How they never got banned for life is beyond me!

Homeless man evicted after 40 years on golf course
MIAMI (AP) — A man who lived on a golf course for 40 years was told to leave because some golfers complained that he scared them.

Other golfers, however, said Kenny Bethel is harmless and should be allowed to stay at Palmetto Golf Course.

Bethel, 55, first showed up at the golf course after he ran away from home in 1963. He collected and resold stray golf balls, used the club’s showers and toilets at night and slept in a sheltered area on the course that housed the showers.

“This course became my job and, later, my home,” he said.

For the last nine years, he had been joined by his wife Francis, 43. They have since relocated to a space under a nearby bridge.

“What have I done to deserve this?” Bethel asked.

Bethel now gets chased away by the staff when he tries to collect balls. And the restrooms are locked at night.

“It’s a huge dilemma,” said Carlos McKeon, manager of Miami-Dade County Golf Operations. “We used to cast a benign eye on Kenny. But when a few golfers complained that he’s trespassing and it’s against the law, we had to get him off.”

Bethel turned down a job in course maintenance because he wanted to be self-employed, McKeon said.

Golfers who had become accustomed to seeing Bethel on the course were surprised by his banishment.

“It seems a shame that someone who is an institution on the course can’t be grandfathered in,” golfer Jim Adamson said.

“He’s a nice guy,” agreed golfer Mario Deif. “You have to admire someone who has debunked modern life and lives off the land.”

Obviously the guy is in Miami and the AP article is from 2004 and not Mister T, but what a life!

Im sure the problems started when he decided to drag his Wife around the course… What trolls… ( living under bridge )

Yeah, I want a nice, peaceful Saturday without a couple of raggedy folk beggin to buy old, nicked up golf balls…

Im surprised no visitors offered him a business…

Ok well I’ve been out of the loop on this thread for a day or so and a lot has happened. Thanks for the video. Honestly though reading through everyone’s reactions I’m not sure if I’m being encouraged or poked fun at. So ll just put it this way those of you how stand up and say it’s impossible have so much more respect from me than those who believe its impossible but tell me it is. and those of you who honestly think it can be done thank you.

Not one of you knows about my life or the kind of crap I have come through. How many of you know what its like to join the military because you hoped to provide better for your family only to find yourself stuck in a foreign country while your wife leaves you abandons your kids and left to start life over again. all your hope and dreams destroyed because the one you love couldn’t stand the consequences of the decision she forced you to take. since then I have shot people been shot at. I have seen my son and daughter 6 weeks out of almost 7 years. more than 50% of my pay goes to supporting them. and that is only a small part of my life. the rest sucks even worse. I’m not looking for sympathy only understanding. I hate almost everything about my life and the decisions I have made weren’t foolish. Foolishness didn’t lead me to where I am now. I made the decisions that I did out of love and hope for a better life. This isn’t some game to me. It’s not a whole bunch of false hope. Its where I draw hope and strength to not give up.

Next payday on the 1st My pay will be fixed or at least better. I will put $50 into an account and link it into My FX Book so all of you can watch. Guess this is where the line is. I plan to cross it. Support or discourage doesn’t really matter. Wish me luck or laugh. either way sit down and watch and see what happens. Peace all.

Love the quotes at the bottom of this site.

Proving it to others does no good, prove it to yourself Matt… Dont even hook it up to FXbook for others to see… The last thing you want to do is make it a contest with your account and the haters… You have no point to prove, just put in work, and reap the rewards…

Once again, thanks for your services…

Much appreciated money. but putting it out there does a lot of good for myself for others. Haters get something to hate might make them hate a little less the supporters have something to root for. the watchers get something to get inspired from as well as future members of babypips. Those wishing they could do it those who are just plain stuck. I gain from it by standing up for myself what I believe in. I also gain exposure. Just because I can do it doesnt mean Im a great trader like was mentioned above if I actually made it. It does prove its possible but also shows that I’m right. It proves I’m right about a lot more than what is possible but in my saying that I have a lot to learn. Honestly want to be taken seriously to prove I’m worth the time of the experienced traders. I’m still fairly new to trading and have a ton left to learn. Theres a lot out there and with respect and admiration those resources are a lot more accessible to me than just wandering out aimlessly hoping to find the jewel amongst the crap. I hope to make the haters my supporters and those who support me proud. maybe a few friends along the way. Pass or fail at least I stand for what I believe in. Yes I’m aware that I’m treating this like a battle to be fought and I realize i have nothing to prove to anyone. But fact is I need to prove this to myself more than anything. I can do it I will do it and hopefully I come out the other side with more than just some money in my pocket.

Hey Matt. What’s your strategy gonna be like? Do you have any pairs in mind and etc…

aud/usd is my main currency eur/jpy also. My method is fairly simple and works pretty well on most occasions. I have been barking about my EA Im building. I have two flavors of it. manual and automated. the automated has a few too many bugs in it though. but it works great over long time periods. so here we go… my methods are as follows. I trade straight stochastic on support/ resistance lines. I consider any peak resistance any vally support. yeah not technical terms but makes more sense to me than high high and low low. so… I place my lines as the chart moves those are the points for future setups. then once I have that running for me. I watch my stochastic my manual EA basicly what it does is it breaks the time periods down into groups H4 H1 M30 M15 the H4 time frame works like this. If H4 all the way down to M1 are above 80 then my EA dings shows sell on the screen and draws a tick mark on my screen. thats an H4 sell signal. If that signal lines up or is close to one of my resistance lines I act on it. Stop loss is usually 2 pips above the line I draw take profit is when the H4 stochastic falls below 20. The same method applies to groups all the way down to M15. M 15 is this. If M15 down to M1 stochastic is above 80 and it lines up with or is close to my resistance lines thats a sell signal. I trade aud/usd because of its stability I trade eur/jpy because of its profit potential. My system of trading has about 90% success rate when traded manually the automated one is a bit different and Honestly I think its great just needs some tweaking to make it work better.

Edit I watch the M5 time frames to place my trades but other than that My stochastic system doesn’t use M5 or M1 as a group because anything lower than M15 is too frequent to produce any level of accuracy.

Ok. I don’t trade those TF’s. Just remember to stick to the plan no matter what! Especially since you say it worked so well in the past too. GL!

Thanks… Again technically I don’t trade M5 or M1 I just watch that time frame to time my entry and exits. I might cut a trade short also if the M5 goes flat and shows signs of going against my initial position. Its a fairly fast system and would be considered scalping I guess but realistically M15 averages 8-10 pips per winning trade M30 10 to 20 and increasing through the time frames depending on which one signals.

Theres a link to a youtube video of my automated version running. The automated version runs a little differently than my manual because I can’t draw support and resistance lines… you can hear my wife cooking in the background… nevermind the chopping sounds lol. I prefer the manual version to the automated one because I have more control… and using stochastics has a weakness in strong trends.

Also be very careful because the broker you signed up with might widen the spread unexpectedly on you or maybe even shut down your connection to the server for some time…What I’m trying to say is never begin a trade without a SL.!! I’ll be following from now on, bye and gl!

Yeah. get your point. I won’t deposit till the 1st so not much to watch till then. Just sit tight… I’ll be screwing around on demo and playing some one day tournaments till time to get real.
