I appreciate the support money… It means a lot… I hate to disappoint but i don’t have much of a choice. I thought The army had fixed my finances but my visit today to finance department proved me wrong. Things are worse than before. I wont have enough to even attempt my $50 trading. Again sorry to disappoint. All I can say is I’m screwed. lol well thats life. The army giveth and the army taketh away.

I hope you don’t take this in a wrong way but the Army (or Military) won’t fixed your finances. You have to educate and learn it on your own and sometimes in the hard way. However, working in a government especially in Military service has a lot of perks too like discounts in hotel, groceries, airline tickets, free housing if you have families, etc. My uncle who is currently retired in a Navy found an apartment 2 weeks ago without paying any deposit and rent free for a month (don’t asked why he didn’t bought a paid for house before).Anyway, there are so many advantages being in Military so take advantage on those and that should help you to get some money. Sometimes cutting back a little bit here and there on daily expenses temporarily like cell phones bills, cutting on buying latte in Starbucks everyday or eating out. Those little things can add up if you think about it then you can have a little decent amount of cash to start with and without taking on an extra job.
Lastly, never ever I mean ever take out any money from your pension or retirement account to fund your Forex trading. These should be separate from all of your expenses, savings, retirement, etc.
I don’t have any major in personal finance or anything …just on personal experience and what I think it make sense. Though, this is how I talk to my younger brother too and I am glad he listens to me

In takes years to learn a profession, be it trading Forex, stocks, shares or commodities - and i’m sure the same applies to working in the army. With a touch of reality being thought about here, it is almost impossible that any individual will step into trading with a $50 account, or even a $5,000 account for the first time and be able to turn a profit over the long term; it just doesn’t happen like that. To be more specific to trading, the only reasonable short cut would be to have a private mentor, which just for the record would cost you far more than $5,000 if you’re going to get anyone half decent.
Accounts get blown, lessons get learnt and new deposits are made time and time again until you have the degree of experience required - think of it as ‘the cost of learning’. Any other business in this day and age requires start up capital far greater than that of being a retail trader. We only really need a PC with internet connection and a deposit amount. Now compare that to the cost of opening a new physical business. I’m talking about [I]barriers to entry[/I] here, of which there are almost non when considering trading.
So because of this new traders [B][U]have[/U][/B] to appreciate that the competition in trading is extremely high, with a relatively low success rate. A one off account will just not cut it, regardless of the deposit amount.
Maybe this is the wrong reaction in some peoples eyes but… doesnt really matter. When i look at my life and considder the future right now i dont see any solution. Any time in the past i could say ill make it through but this time is different. I really am at my last rope. Im on my phone so its hard to quote people so to the person who said the army wont fix my finances… i dont expect them to. I do however expect them to fix their mistakes. Trouble is no one here cares enough to actually say theres a mistake. Fact is after pay ill have enough for rent and thatse prety much it. Next this situation isnt gonna change any time soon. Wife wants to go back to cambodia and sort it out later but thats not realistic either. How does this relate to trading? Well when ur backs against the wall amdvyou cant move forward what choice do u have other than up or down. Yes im litteraly against the wall. So that said im going to trade or i am goinf to give up. There is no way out of this. Been trying for a month. The ropes are tight and theres nothing i can do. So what choice do i have other than to jump? Guess fight or be beaten. Yeah it sucks yeah under normal circumstances its stupid but hey… what else can i do?

I flip stuff on eBay occasionally. But that takes money. Not a lot though. I know people who scrap metal. Start thinking outside the box. It’s gonna suck but you can get through it. You aren’t a failure.
I hear you Matt. I think what you got going on right now is a very personal and sensitive topic. It sounds like there is so much going on right now in your personal life …
If I am on your shoes, I will focus on the things that I can control right now. If there is not enough money coming in the family, I would really focus on how I can bring more income. If I needed to work 2-3 jobs night and day I’ll do it especially if I have kids to feed. Though, I will find the way first where I can cut back some expenses. If I am paying more having cell phones, I find a cheaper one so I can cut the bill and any utilities like cable that I can cancel and such. Focus on the necessities first. As long as you have a roof, shelter, clothing, and food on the table you can survived. Outside of that, is not important. I will also sell everything I have that I don’t need. There are probably some things that I can sell that will bring some extra income. If I have done all of the above (cutting the bills, sell my stuff even car/s) and still not enough to get by then I will looked for a part-time job or something that I can create were I can get paid even your wife can do the same… do this as a temporary until you can back on your feet again and money is not so tight and have extra to put away for emergency savings.
Trading Forex can wait…the market is still there and it won’t go anywhere. The main factor to become successful in trading is having a strong psychological. Your mind should be free from stress and other money/family/personal problems so you can focus more. Though, you can still continue on learning how to trade via Demo while you sort things out what you are facing right now.
Your wife and family is your most valuable asset. When you and your wife work together as a TEAM , you can get through any challenges that you are facing…There is always light in the tunnel…[B]Focus on the solutions NOT the problems.[/B]

P.S: I hope I can talk to your wife… You need her by your side more than anything…going back to Cambodia doesn’t resolve the problem…you and her needs to face the situation TOGETHER.

Wait, she can have a green card when she marry a US citizen, correct? If so, that’s all she needs to get Social Security number and to find a job…She can also worked and get paid by cash thru babysitting and such. Can she cook? Understood no its not that somple the process to get a social takes about 6 months… she could do all of the above just gotta figure out how. Aside from that right now im at legal trying to be seen. Finance prety much shut me out. Legal is stepping in to get me seen.

Say this phrases [B]" Focus on the solutions not the problems and I/we are the solutions"[/B] at least 10x that way you know what you needed to do. Simple as saying this phrases it will change your mindset and you “will” find the solutions because that is in your focus…It will work because you want it to work…
Hope to hear from you in a few months or so and see how everything it turn out. I am sure everyone here would like to see how you guys doing… Then we will talk about trading strategies and such…
