Hi Dears!
For learning forex trading which method is the best?
Price action or ICT?
I strongly am in love with price action, that, also has a lot of detailed strategies which i believe are the best trading strategy
No trading strategy has a quantifiable edge over another. Trade management or risk management is the deciding factor for profitability.
ICT concepts are just repackaged and over complicated price action. Choose the path that resonates with you the most.
You mean it’s price action that reshaped?
This is exactly right. ICT is not in any sense “original content,” and is unnecessarily complicated and difficult.
This thread from yesterday says more about ICT. Read carefully!
Hi @Abdjawid,
If you really have passion, Price Action ( PA ) is the one. Once you touch fundamental, PA can give explanation in detail. But PA is not as fancy as other methodology. It’s a very old teaching.
The simplicity of PA makes it flexible, no cosmetic. No need recipes for chicken or turtle soup, or wearing bullet vest while trading
While we use PA, we trade the market as it is, it has nothing to do with any smart people or inner/outer trader. PA is always be used by institution trader and many professional trader.
I have went through some of those ICT videos and probably some of the key takeaways was probably the FVG and Asian Market Range.
Price Action is always the foundation to rely on, master that basic skillset first before trying out other strategies.
Every system makes money if we stick to the rules however the trading is not for those who take it similar to gambling, ignores the rules and try to become rich right over the night. Success comes to those who practice with patience, build profitable strategies and backtest them before investing real money.
My experience is exactly the opposite: very, very few systems actually make money steadily just by following the rules.
We’d all be making an easy living, if every system made money, I think? Where would the losers be, though, to cover all the profits of all those winners?
Exactly. The reality is that 95% of all retail traders lose money. Be very cautious and test every strategy on a demo account instead of judging based on others’ reviews.
We have eventually develop our own unique style of trading, that’s the eventuality of a sustainable, profitable trader.
“It’s inevitable”
I heard it for first time - ICT. Is this a new trading trend or what?
If you are new to trading, avoid going into ICT. Focus on the fundamentals first, if not, you will be much more confused going into it.
Price action, candlestick charts, supply and demand. Focus on these 3 for a couple of months before you dive into anything else, that’s my personal advice.

I know price action, is there any material or video to gain more about it?
BabyPips did a fantastic job of explaining the basics without any external biases nor commercial intent over here: 3 Types of Price Charts and How to Read Them - Babypips.com
Afterwards I highly recommend studying their support and resistance chapter here: What is Support and Resistance? - Babypips.com
Go more in-depth on the candlesticks over here: What is a Japanese Candlestick in Forex Trading? - Babypips.com
Last but not least, I personally use this: Fibonacci Trading in Forex - Babypips.com
