To put it in a very simplistic way, let’s say now price quoted at $1. If there is a buyer willing to buy 5 quantity, and there is a seller willing to sell 5, then price remain at $1. But, if buyers is 5 but seller is only 4. Then the price quoted would go up to $2. The opposite is true. In conclusion, price only move if the orders have an imbalance.
