Anybody else having problems logging into Oanda today?
After the close of the standard business week, Oanda commonly goes into maintenance mode for a few hours. Rest assured you didn’t miss anything as the entire market was asleep.
AFAIK Oanda only has one IP host for their JAVA client program. Should that or any of their half-dozen uplinks fail then you will be separated from your funds. Typically during high-volume events I notice that Oanda can become intermittent or offline. I think it’s a very dangerous place to hold any significant lotsize positions.
They’re violating most every tenet of Internet network engineering topology, apparently to their advantage.:eek:
