There’s an incredible number of prop firms out there and it seems a lot have sales on at the moment, can people post any good offers that they find in here please?
These are doing buy one get one free (still can’t post links)
If you join the mailing lists of many, you are sent all the offers, some even 90% discount.
Take care what email address you give, some CFD ones will definitely sell your email address and you will get many spam emails from places you never heard of, not even trading.
Monday 17 is Presidents Day in U.S.A., can be special offers for holidays.
(The prop firms are listed at the propfirmmatch site, if you need it.)
These aren’t prop firms and if you want to get funded, I’d recommend moving to futures and proving yourself to get a proper prop firm fund you. These ‘prop’ firms make their money out of you failing, not succeeding.
I’d whole-heartedly agree with you, John, but the company mentioned above by @AnnaProbablyIS a futures one.
That’s true of the CFD ones, as many members have recently been discussing, but less true of the futures ones that open genuine, funded CME accounts for people passing the evaluations, and are from that point therefore incentivized for their traders to win, not to lose.
Earn2Trade currently has 60% off their “trader career path” thing (maybe also for Presidents Day? Not sure) if anyone’s interested.
(They’re not quite the same as their competitors: they don’t fund people themselves. When people pass the evaluation, they refer them on to one of two funding businesses who undertake to fund them. The accounts opened are real ones, though, on CME and funded with real money.)
To be honest, they wouldn’t be my own first choice, but there it is anyway, “if anyone’s interested”.
For sure, these futures prop firms are a safer bet than the normal CFD props, but…
Just look at these prices, and these are “per month”, not one-off payments!!!
I just don’t see how the typical BP Newbie is ever going to take that kind of commitment.
Of course, these types of schemes are not intended for beginners anyway - but that is what the majority of BP members are?
CFD prop firms are (usually?) only a one-off fee - but this is a futures prop. are futures props all monthly fees (as was mentioned above, to cover price feeds etc?)
Whenever I say anything in this forum imagining that it’s “simply factual,” someone finds a counterexample I’ve never heard of. Which is good, not only because I learn something, but because it differentiates between fact and opinion (and at Babypips, that’s a rarity!).
But on this occasion I’m still going to take a chance and stick out my neck and say Yes: they all charge by the month.
I also think that their reviews are fairly trustworthy. I wanted to add a (positive) review for my prop company but they asked me first for my account number with the company - and the company confirmed to me that they had been asked by propfirmmatch to confirm my account was genuine before my review was accepted.
I don’t know if that is always the case, but anyway…
It has a totally different business model from anything else on that site.
It’s ok (and safe and can be good) for long-established successful traders who want gradually to grow their income by selling signals without any of the hassle normally involved in that.
Does anyone know of any reasonable prop firms with Easter 2025 discounts available either now, or coming up soon?
I have a stupidly high-risk system to try out, which I wouldn’t dream of using my own money for, but it might just get me through a prop firm try-out - so I’m looking round for discounts, to experiment.
(But not willing to use MT4, even for a free one. Everyone has limits, right?).
Would be very grateful for any up-to-date information, please!
Legends Trading has an Easter 80%-discount offer. Valid until the end of Monday 21st (I think that will mean midnight Pacific Time, as they’re in California).
This isn’t a recommendation (I don’t know them and haven’t tried but am on their mailing-list), but the owner’s reputation is good, and at least it’s a futures one that opens real, funded accounts on a real exchange, in partnership with their funded traders, not a CFD one that wants people to fail.
The coupon-button code is EASTER.
They may not have anything against indicator addicts, so good luck with your “stupidly high-risk system”, if you try it!
I found another forum where they are (or were) “sponsors” of the forum. They had an “Ask me anything” thread there, where they purported to respond to members’ questions about their prop firm. I think this was not long after they started, which isn’t long ago itself.
But they abandoned the thread for a long time and didn’t answer anything (they did recognize this and later apologised for it). And they failed to answer many questions. And gave answers to some others that I can only describe as “shifty”.
And they used to have a drawdown that trailed open equity, which as you kindly told me in another thread, is a no go. They did change that, later, but the fact that they had it before everyone complained maybe doesn’t speak too highly of them?
