What’s the benefits of trading with own software that can connect to broker by API?
Is the spread and commission will changes when I’m trading with API gateway? Please answer in details with reference.

One thing I recall from my limited usage of ninja trader, esignal and multicharts is that the orders are hosted on your pc and not the server of the broker. What that means is that if your pc goes down or your platform freezes then your stop/limit orders will not be executed unless your running a VPS. This can be very costly. I’m not sure however if this is still the way it is today…others may chime in.
