I am a bit of a newbie here and have read through quite a few threads now. I have looked at the Purple Patch Forex website after reading suggestions from here. I have contacted the guy there and he has been quite helpful, friendly and quick with replies to any questions I have had, which is a great start.
I am wondering if anyone who had used the Purple Patch Forex techniques can reply saying how they have found it and how they have gone trading the system. I am not after what the system is etc, as I am quite happy to join his website for the 95GBP, but I would also like to hear some good honest comments from people who have used it or are still using it. To be fair on them though, I don’t really want to hear from someone who purchased it and then thought it was a bit hard, I would love to hear from people who have had a red hot go at it and how they have gone.
It aims at 3 pips per day by the looks of it and must be fairly heavily leveraged, but I am always open to something that will work and stand the test of time.

I checked out his system a while back, and while checked out I mean glanced over his thread but from what I can say he is a good guy. His posts here are very informative and thought out.
As for the system, I can’t tell you if it works or not, a lot of it will depend on you and your understanding of the fundamentals of the system. You paid the money so try to get the most out of it.
I went live this week, I started with $312 and ended with $321, I think that’s OK for a first week, nearly 3% profit, when it’s 3% on $10k I’ll be quite happy.
Can I market my website like this admins? Use my website name as my name on this forum? Have someone conveniently post my website up and sing its praises? Heck I get a ‘solicitation’ infraction for posting my email address in order to send a guy a spreadsheet!
I don’t think that’s an appropriate post at all, making unfounded accusations like that, and they certainly aren’t true, and I don’t need to defend myself any further.
Strange that Purple and merely confirms my suspicions. No prior comment from you on previous posts (so no email notification of my post) but hey presto your on me like a ton of bricks for mine in under 10 mins . LOL
‘Unfounded accusations’ ? Is not your name here the same as your website? And is it not… err… coincidental some guy turns up posting the name of your website but not wishing to discuss the ‘actual’ strat as he’s happy to fork out the £95 fee. Oh and by the way the strats so good he’s up from week one! Come on Purple… do you think my eyes are painted on! Whats it you say alot… ‘around here we call a spade a spade’.
Ok, since it’s you that asked, Tassiefx made an enquiry with me earlier this week, I replied and 2 days later I saw that thread and I did think that people would think the same as you - that is 100% honest truth, he is not a client, and everyone knows what the strategy is.
Kalie66 is a client of mine and is excited to have a successful first week, and then I just saw a post like yours coming.
Honestly, I don’t care as long as information is honest and forthcoming. I mean, heck, we all at some point post up a location or two in order to gather info. How many times has a particular broker been discussed? Oanda thread regarding them getting MT4? In a sense isn’t that promoting Oanda? I know I have put up a link or two to sites that put up forex news releases. So in a sense, I guess I would be equally guilty of promoting another site or singing a praise to them. Bottom line for me is that as long as there is no underhanded deceit going on. Who cares, because I obviously am not leaving babypips for any reason.
Again, isn’t the idea of this site to train, present information and trade ideas? I mean heck, if I have a website that has an extremely detailed strategy and I basically write it all down on my website and want to pass that information on to some friends here, couldn’t I do that if I had permission from the admins?
Firstly, PPF had nothing to do with me posting at all. I am sorry to him for bringing an argument to him that he didn’t need to be involved in. Maybe should just not ask questions, and not post at all. I also was not aware my questions violated any rules. In my opinion, if you didn’t like what was asked, then ignore the post. It wasn’t put into your inbox, but was put on the newbie area for a genuine question.
I said I didn’t want to know the actual strategy for a good reason. I did not ask the questions to get a free ride and have someone tell me about it. If someone has a strategy and selling it, it is theirs and the only way to have it should be through them and not others spilling their guts about it. That is the reason why I said that.
Thanks to the couple of people that did reply with the same intention as what I had with the post initially. Now I just wish I could delete this thread as I did not post this to create issues. Nice work R Carter and once again, sorry PPF for unknowingly bringing you into it.
I get the “solicitation” part of your post as I did the same thing. The EMA thread by Maurrizio (? spelling) said to send him your email address and he would send an ebook. I did that and since 2/9/10 I have looked at pipsy girl’s infraction notice, no time off for good behavior!
