Hi everyone!
I am trading the forex market on a practice MT4 account. Yesterday I put the TP and SL on the CADJPY, after price was below the TP line (previous resistance line) but the software did not concrete the TP order. Any idea? Thanks a lot.

Sounds like you were short. The most likely scenario is, since there’s a big spread on the C/J, the “ask” line never hit the t/p point.
MT4 is a “bid” chart meaning, the ask line is never referenced for charting purposes. Up at the top of the MT4 platform, click Tools>Options>Charts, then select “Show Ask Line” on that page. It will show you another line on the chart. That is the line you buy at if you go long, and buy at to close an order if you are short. The big gap between the bid and ask is probably where price was when your trade didn’t close.
thanks. Now I can´t see the ask line following the steps and I can´t upload the chart image (< 5 forum post)
Okay.
Go back to that window, and uncheck Show Ask.
Then, right click anywhere on a chart, and at the bottom of that menu, select “Properties”. Go: Properties>Common, and then select the “Show Ask” line there.
That should leave both bid, and ask showing.
Forgot about that. Sorry!
perfect, thanks a lot
