Quick question about brokers

I use oanda but they’re kind of making me nervous, i have a live account and a demo account. On my demo account things go by very smooth there are more options, while on my live account I have trouble logging in i seem to lose more even though I use the same strategies. a couple of times my limit buys werent activated either. Has anyone had any problems with oanda and is there other brokers that you would recommend either way.

I also had another question I heard that u can only withdraw 3000 dollars a month at a time from ur account what if you have 100 000 there do u have to wait 33 months to get your money back or did I just misunderstand? Im not sure if the money is insured or not either can I leave my life savings in this account or can oanda go bankrupt tommorow, from my understanding they’re not insured.

I don’t know if Oanda is insured. I know that they are registered in the US and registered under the NFA or whatever bureau the US has.

I don’t think they have a withdrawal limit on the amount of money you can take out however I know that they will charge you after you withdraw more than one time in a month.

I place my trades with Oanda but do my chart work with an MT4 demo…so as for the differences between their demo and real I don’t know.

The only complaint that I have from Oanda (sometimes), other than their ****ty charts is that sometimes when I set a take profit and a stop loss, and then switch between pips and price in the order window, I’ll find that every so often my tp doesn’t activate. I don’t know if that’s just java crashing and it did close it or if really failed to.

Otherwise I really like Oanda. They seem to get some of the best reviews as a trustworthy company…which in the end is more important to me.
