I’m looking to buy a computer that I can do some EA backtesting on. Can someone tell me what kind of hardware I should be looking for. Is RAM the most important consideration ?? Or other things such as CPU important too. ?? Would 8 GB of RAM be OK??
I really appreciate any thoughts. I’ve been trading an EA on a small account for about 4 months which I did after a just some demo testing - but would really like to give it some proper backtesting before moving it onto a larger account. And possibly back test some other EAs too.

Back test??? Back test r always perfect no matter what indicater u using. I still trust price action.
A second hand laptop with Windows 7 and 4GB of RAM would more than suffice - As i’m sure you know already; exceptional hardware simply modifies by a few milliseconds just how quick you can lose your money when you don’t know what your doing
