I looked around on the forum but couldnt find anything about receiving notifications on mt4.
Is it possible to receive indicator alerts on my phone/mail while the mt4 terminal on my computer is shutdown?

If your computer system is off, you might not be able to receive any notifications on your phone. You better check if that is the case.
VPS is a copy of your Metatrader in the cloud. You need to open charts and attach your EA to the charts. After that you make the migration i.e. synchronizing your metatrader with open charts with EA attached to the charts with the copy of your Metatrader in the cloud.
Once you have synchronized you can start receiving notifications even after you have shut down your pc.
I can write a program that will send you signals to your phone. Need a VPS. This is a paid service. But don’t be afraid to apply, I’m not greedy.
