Reputable Mentors

Hi guys, can anyone reccomend a good and legit mentor to help me fine tune my trading knowledge? I’m in the UK still using demo accounts looking to do intraday trading.

Thanks a lot

Do you mean a coach or a mentor?
How long have you been studying and demo trading a Forex account?
How many trades have you entered?
What is your current demo success rate (% trades won / total trades)?
Have you completed the Babypips School of Pipsology?
What specific areas of your trading knowledge do you need help with and what are your trading goals for the next 12 months?

The fact that you are looking for a mentor is a positive step toward becoming a successful trader.

There are a number of contributors to this site who don’t believe in mentors or paying for quality trading courses. But I say this, have you ever heard of an elite athlete who got to the top of their game on their own?? Answer NOBODY.

There are a number of good mentors out there. It is just a case of knowing what kind of trader you want to be. Do you believe that you are a mechanical traders or are you more of a discretionary trader?? Do you want to scalp, swing, position trade?? These are questions that you may need to ask yourself and once you have a firm belief of what you want then seek a mentor who can help you reach your goal.

I know a few different mentors and I belong to a trading site called Common Sense Commodities run by David Duty. He is more of a position trader and we mostly trade Futures and Options.

Good luck with your search

Cheers

Hi,

There is good mentors but are you ready to pay a lot of money to the mentor?
Van Tharp is good but cost a lot.

Any good mentor will charge a lot. Very few starting with trading want to pay for the mentor and hope they get advice for free. That will not happens

Looking for a mentor can be quite tricky  But I agree with the others here that there are some questions you also need to answer for yourself for now, just so that you’re fully prepared once you get to find a mentor. :open_mouth: Good luuuck! I hope you give us an update if you ever find someone.

The discussion here Are They Legit Trading Mentors? might help you find your future mentor.

Honestly, first you need to calibrate yourself before you can start looking to find the person who lead you toward the great success.

All the best.

Hi Ljbrix,
Have you put any thought into answering any of these responses from members? There is no place in Forex to be a passive onlooker. If you want to succeed you need to be leading the discussion. These questions are not difficult to answer, but you will not get what you want by keeping quiet about them. How much do you really want to succeed. If the answer is “not much” then you need to stay away from Forex trading.

I believe it will be difficult and/or expensive to find a mentor here. However, you can post your doubts and queries on the forum and the members are kind enough to resolve them for you.
