Resetting myfxbook account

So I finally took the plunge & created a myfxbook account thinking that it’ll help me monitor my performance. My problem is that it’s sync’ed all my old trades etc & being a new to this, the figures don’t look too great (in profit but not by much). It’s not my lack-luster performance that’s the issue (it’s currently all private anyway) but what I was hoping to do was to draw a line in the sand & start monitoring my trading from this point forward, is there a way to reset all your stats?

A clean slate to start monitoring my progress is what I’m after, preferably without having to open a new live account, transfer the mon£y across & sync the new one with myfxbook. Can anybody help me out? I browsed the FAQ & Help sections to no avail :frowning:

Not sure bud, but i think you have to open another account?/or sub account if you can, ( thru your broker)

Or, just hit the “custom analysis” tab, ( Under the green contest tab) and just input the date at which you want to start from…

Hi baz, when you are in your myfxbook journal just under the contest button you have a custom analysis button. You can choose a starting date for monitoring.
I don’t know if it’s what you are looking for.

Money: you are the man!

I browsed all the tabs & the sub-links that they threw up & came up with nothing. I didn’t even see the"custom analysis" link, I’ll put my stupid blindness down to tiredness (it’s after midnight here & I’ve got an new-born ruining my sleep). Anywho, changing the start date on that got me exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!

Edit: Thanks to AKK as well, spotted your reply after I wrote this.

NP Man, Oh, and let me tell ya, I have a 14 week old, and I get up for nite feedings so my wife can sleep for work… I know exactly where your comin from… 12:30 orrr 1:00 ooorrrr 1:30 orrrr 2:00 orrrrrr 2:35 orrrrrrr LOL, never knoww…

She is a great baby tho, I cant complain… Its mostly the only time she cries, when she is hungry… Working on breakin her of the night feedings starting tonight actually… Last night I tried the “tuff Love” approach, screamed her little head off for an hour, she is going to be tuff to break, lol, But Im cool with it, we will get it soon or later…

Be cool, and great luck on your 2013 goals!!

I shouldn’t complain too much, our wee one has been absolutely amazing: she’s only 9-days old & she gets fed about 1’ish, again round about now (4.30am) & that’s usually her until 8 or 9 in the morning. So as babies go, we’ve had a pretty good time of it & plenty of sleep - you could always use more though & what you do get is disrupted by the random noises they make. Here’s hoping the routine continues though as she’s a good sleeper, I’m just a light sleeper that hears every stir.

How do you find it effects your trading? I’m finding myself shattered for London open, it’s a nightmare dragging my ass out if bed.

Lol glad to know that I’m not the only one trading around disturbed nights - our daughter was born 27/03, we’ve just got her down to one feed during the night but I was a little groggy there for a while. Well done and congratulations, guys.

EDIT: 27/02 - there’s the sleep deprivation for you!

Congratulations to you all, guys.
I hope soon experience the same happiness.

Congratulations to you too Simon, you’ve got other kids too so you’ve really got your work cut out for you.

I’ve been looking at a bit of EOD trading to compensate for my longer lies, I do trade during the day too but as I said, I’ve been snoozzzzzzing through the London open :frowning: How are you coping with the trading & mild sleep deprivation?

Lol yes - three boys, 4, 6 and 8. It’s not too bad so far, thank you- I mostly trade higher timeframes, plus Mrs Templar is on maternity leave until the autumn. I never need much sleep so for now it’s okay. Autumn onwards could be interesting, though… Is this your first?

Yeah this is our first, it’s all new territory but it’s been a breeze thus far, she’s a wee star. Our pal had a nightmare baby so our expectations were low & luckily we got a gem.

So now that you’ve added a girl to the squad, is that the end of Simon Templar’s procreation?

I don’t need much sleep either but I’m very much a night person, don’t usually hit my bed until anywhere between 12am - 4am. London open was a killer at the best of times, it’s my arch nemesis now.

That’s brilliant, extra congratulations on your first!!

Yes, lol, we always said we’d keep having kids until we’re 40 and see where we were, we never had numbers or gender in mind as one can’t control these things. I just turned 39 so we think four kids is plenty for us!

Using trading logic: you should never move your targets once you’ve set them, if you’ve just turned 39 then there’s still 12-months for Mrs Templar to go again

Folk are never fussed by gender but it’s always nice to have one of each.

Lol you’re right on all counts!

Hey Simon Congrates Bud, ( might have told you already, but still need a pat on the back, )

Im 39 lol, we are all in the same range, cool… We are finished breeding, lol… Thought we were already, but low and behold, had a princess…

As for the trading aspect, if i was a mad scalper still, uggg, i could only imagine…

I kinda redid my strat to acustom to my " groggy" brain, so now, its no guess work or brain effort, just waiting on my signal, so pretty much stress free… I actually got a nice nights sleep this morning, wife has off today, Have a headache, but due to lack of carbs, (keto diet)…

Baz, Simon, Heres to a healthly and long life to the future generation, and little buddles of Joy!!!

Cheer Money! By the sounds of it, we’ve all had little girls; assuming that we’re still on BP years down the line, maybe we can share strategies on how to sabotage our daughter’s dating until she’s at least 25.

LOL, hey, I would hit the “like” button 50 times if I could… Remember, they learn what you expose them too… That means, no TV!!

I also have a daughter that turns 21 in July, so far, so good!!

Just start feeding them bacon and sticks of butter at an early age… The resulting physiques should squash any male attention for well past 25.

Lol, whats even funnier, is this IS my breakfast…

6 Bacon, 2 tbls Coconut oil, and 1 tbs Peanut butter Everyday… Lost 2 lbs of fat this week…
