Revtrader Pro

Hi,

dont found a thread about Revtrader Pro. I bought the ea some weeks ago and i am very disapointed like many other users. Anyway would like to exchange any news about new setfiles or tweakings. Maybe
i can put it back on my live account. Anybody using this ea here?

Their myfxbook looks good but stopped making profit around Dec.
They seem to offer 60 day money back according to some forums, can you claim back or is it too late?

Unfortuanetly its too late. Their myfxbook looks realy great like some other eas from this vendor. vortex trader pro and his new bayby pivot ea. BUT i also read on myfxbook that there is a way to fake accounts. And it seems that something is wrong with the results. shortly after marketing and selling all those eas fail. only bad luck? i dont think so…

I have this EA, yes it loses currently but I think results are real. Revtrader Pro is following the trend, works fine in flat and trending markets but not in reversals where, in my opinion we are in. Fortunately I didn’t pay the money in it  The coder exchanged it for my EA

TBanks to a friend i had the possibility to Backtest Rev Trader Pro and had very bad results: before 2009 Margin Call. Also, if look in the Firexgermany website, BT resukts are very bad and good only from the last years. So it is a Classic example of an overoptimized ea, which can generate High profits in the current S market conditions, but when the Wind change it fails. Till Dec it gainer nice money simply because there were a very well defined strong down trend on all usd pairs, and so the Ea was selling on every bounce. Now the Wind seems waits to change and so the resukts are not good. I know that BTs are not the only way to choose a profitable EA, but they are fundamental to see if an ea is overoptimized. Also, if an ea is profitable in BT, this does not mean it will be profitable in real trading, but if it is not profitable in BT, for sure wil not be profitable in real trading. A BT can show some flaws in the trading strategy.

Hi,

i found this comment on myfxbook and the only advantage of this bot is that it can be tweaked to current market conditions. Will try next week to find some good settings…

This EA has and is still performing very well for me. Although this is probably because I adjusted the settings given that we are in a ranging market and not the trending market of 2014 where this EA performed so well (and will again in the future no doubt).

For the current market you need to delay the entries. You can do that by increasing the signal gap (i.e pips past the previous high), or adjusting the stochastic overbought/oversold to say 83/17. Then delay the second and third entries by at least 15-20 or so pips.

That is the benefit of this EA, it can be adjusted. If we go back to the strong trends again like 2014 I would revert to the default settings.
