Do you have any suggestions for risk management articles, books, or research papers for someone wishing to improve their comprehension and use of risk management in trading?
You don’t need a book to tell you how to protect your account by limiting risk exposure to maybe 1% of your account per trade, and a maximum open trades not exceeding 5%.
Of course, you could move up or down on your risk exposure depending on your account size. This is what I call learning how not to lose money.

buy them second hand on eBay or Amazon at 1/4 list price. These are quite deep - not recommended for a beginner. These two books changed my entire outlook on risk management, in trading and in my professional life as a management consultant

what a great question on an under-discussed subject
if people only paid more attention to this, and less to trying to “copy a system that just works”, the success-rates would be much, much higher
risk-management books for forex traders:-
first choice: “The Mathematics of Money Management” by Ralph Vince
second choice: “Profitability and Systematic Trading” by Michael Harris
third choice: “Trade Your Way to Financial Freedom” by Van Tharp
I appreciate your response, but I wish it were as simple as you say.
Nice to have you here.
