Hi guys, i often read here just to risk 1% in a trade. If I enter 4 position each risking 1%, does this means that I’m risking 1% or a total 4%?
I’m risking 1% on AUD/jpy, 1% on USD/JPY, 1% on USD/chf , and 1% on AUD/USD
What happens if you lose all 4 trades? how much does your account decrease? Your risk is what you stand to lose over all, divide it up between trades how ever you want.
I agree, I’d rather take that 4% and put it all on the best of those 4 trades. I’m sure at least some of your position is hedged and is just acting as dead weight on your margin requirements.
You are risking 4 times 1% or 4%.
In this case, it could be argued that AUD/USD + USD/JPY is a synthetic AUD/JPY. Which implies your positions are really AUD/JPY and USD/CHF.
