Running several scalping expert advisors on different currency pairs conflict?

HI
Before posting i have tried to look for similar threads, unfortunately with no positive results.

Please your advise very welcome. Am trying to run few expert advisors on different time pairs, and i make sure to follow the parameters for which the expert has been programmed.
Example: “crazy scalper” 5 min Tf / Eur-Usd - right Tf and right pair as advised- also checking for no errors and expert being initialized correctly. This is just to say that i checked as much as i could before start doubting.

How would you make sure that an expert is working when loaded together with other experts on the same currency pair ? I mean how do we know if it will open a trade or not? Only by waiting ? Backtesting?

Normally scalping Eas should open trades as soon as some pip movement starts, however these experts am trying at the moment do not seem to open any trade, possibly because am running them all togetehr ?

I did try to load only one expert at the time, but for one hour only. I thought scalping experts should open trades quickly, so i removed it as soon as it did not open the trade within the hour. It was the opening london time.

I have read also about the magic number that can cause conflict if few experts are loaded on different charts.
am attaching the experts founded somewhere in the forum for you to see, thank you.

What is your experience on this please?

Just because it is a scalping strategy does not mean it will open trades all the time. You’re misunderstanding what a scalping strategy is. You need to be more patient and wait. Scalping strategies still need to wait for its signals/entries before it does anything… and unless you know their entry rules (which it doesn’t seem like you do) all you can do is wait.

You waited an hour and got impatient… And the fact it was London Open does not mean it will enter a trade either, who’s to say it’s not an Asian scalper?

And in terms of conflict, make sure each has their own unique Magic Number and check with your broker to see if there are hedging rules. Sometimes you cannot go long and short at the same time, and your EAs may have different signals at the same time. I haven’t looked at your EAs but those are all things to consider.

hOk thanks for the reply
i made sure that it was not an expert with time limits or asian trade.
then i re-checked it until now for 10 hours and opened only one trade, at a loss too.
I think i’ll pass on this, and try a better one. I normally like those experts that set automatic buy stop and limits.
Any idea what does it mean when an expert has the magic number set to zero ?
thanks

I usually try to pass on anything that has magic numbers…

It means it doesn’t give an order a magic number…it defaults to zero.

The EA actually has something called a “magic number”?

Yes yes it does

It’s to help EA’s identify orders if need be. So for example if you have more that one EA running, it would only act upon the orders it opened, not any orders opened by other EA’s or even manually. Not a very meaningful naming convention…ID Number would have been more appropriate.

Well I learn new things everyday! Haha thanks…

Currently running 4 EAs on one account on my VPS. I found problems initially when I tried to have them on one MT4 terminal but since I have had each ea on a separate terminal they all seem to work fine.

thats great to separate them…
how does it happens that one expert turns into grey colour after 2 hours or so ?
i got an expert downloaded from here caled scalper beta, and its only ex.4 no mq4, however as soon as i downloaded it worked perfectly and at profit… afterwards it got tired and changed colour. mhmh ?
