2 examples of the same setup (no signal present at the point of a pending Buy order near channel bottom). In both cases, price reached the channel midpoint.
The king blew even more accounts as gbpusd keeps dropping so much for being the king of forex more like king of scams I am pretty sure he is only trading a demo account and only makes money off his $99 monthly subscribers on youtube.
Wow. Disappointing.
I tried to warn people on a different forum discussing KOF (not Baby Pips) that they had best be careful because accounts will be blown. I was pretty much excommunicated from the forum.
I’m no expert, but I was doing KOF for a while, enjoying it, and then got into a couple of multi-week trades that thankfully worked out with profit. Otherwise, I’d have been another casualty.
I was using very small entries too.
The way I trade now, It can be frustrating waiting for good trading signals, but I feel a lot safer.
Thanks.
Its a little trade. 0.1 lot. Long term trend still looks ok.
I can ride it down a lot further and I wouldn’t notice it.
How’s it going on the M1-Countertrend forum?
I love this VHP channel you have. I wish I understood the maths behind it so I could recreate it on cTrader.
That’s inevitable, eventually, when you play mean reversion games and add to losing trades.
The fact that he’s a YouTube trader is in itself enough evidence of that. Traders making a living from trading are obviously not doing what he’s doing (in any sense). ![]()
Edit:
I like using it too.
There must be something similar on most platforms.
I suspect it is volume + Hodrick Prescott on the signal line. But I know nothing about coding.
Ok. Going into Jan 13th sitting at 587 pips for the month.
I managed to recreate it last night. Slightly different, but fairly sure it’s doing the same thing. Nothing to do with volume, it’s a channel around a slow hp filter. I’m not sure the hp math is entirely correct, but it’s working.
Next I’ll try and code an cbot based on this. If you give me your exact rules, I’ll add them and you can have the cbot if you want it.
- Long hp filter is direction we go. If pointing down, only short.
- If pointing down, wait for price to touch the top channel.
- Wait for a red HA candle to enter.
Opposite for long
Exit criteria.
- Touches opposite side of the channel.
- Has touched the middle of the channel and HA candle goes blue to move away.
Anything else?
That’s a good start. We’ll have to think about that automated exit criteria. I still do the channel midpoint or 200 ema or when the VHP signal line crosses the HA. Not to mention just a HA direction change. Which sounds difficult to automate.
I missed this one. Such a clear signal! Right at the channel top where I consider a perfect signal should be.
Watchlist item for D1. If it reaches below channel bottom and gives us a Buy signal sometime in the next week or two, we could have a good one here. We would have a bounce off the purple 200 ema as an added good buy signal too.
Sounds good.
Just like your last one. You will need to monitor it and be sure to lock in a break even or a little profit. Let’s make sure losing is NOT an option.
This is GBPJPY, but there is also AUDJPY setting up on the 1hr chart but again the short signal still remains strong.
I’m slowly getting intot the right mindset. Still physcology messes with my head so i’m lowering my lot size to 0.1 and waiting for the correct signals.
Yup.
Jpy is really trying to strengthen. There’s a lot of chatter about it and traders are very cautious all last week and this week.
Every time I buy into the fear, I miss out though. A signal is still a signal.
