Well I prefer to scalp though I dont mind long term trades. i have a profitable long term system now and have been trying to find a profitable scalping system. i’ve looked at threads on this forum and other forums but still havn’t found one that is profitable. Maybe for some I just dont know the system well enough for it to be profitable but its been very challenging for me to find one. so if anyone has any tips/advice/strategies anything the info will be greatly appreciated
The best scalping strategy I came across is scalping EUR/GBP at night when it’s quiet and has a very defined trading range.
Open a 15 minuts chart of EUR/GBP and look at the asian session to understand what I’m talking about…

Its a long and complicated thread but its a good way to scalp. A pdf on the method is in the works.
I use the the BB tunnel method from the thread above to scalp JPY pairs during the Asian session off the M5 and M15. It works well for me when conditions are right. The trick with any method is knowing when not to use it.
EUR/USD
1 RSI standard settings
2 MACD Standard Settings
3 1min and 5 min chart
4 Respect Support and Resistance
5 3-5 pips target, put stop loss 10 pips

The THX cobra system is very nice, if you are into scalping. It’s indicator based, you can download it for free from forex factory I believe.

The shaded part comes from the indicator with a funny name…it starts with a y. If it is in the indicators folder and you loaded the template it should work, and has worked for everyone else it seems.
If you cant get it to work, then you can use the same system, just enter on a break of the 14 ema (candle close). I have been trading over 5 years, and this thing works if you follow the rules.
huh this is weird. in the extracted folder that indicator isnt there BUT i just updated to windows 7 and wen i click on the compressed folder the indicator is there

I also find it very easy to get some pips scalping the asian sessions at night for some reasons, while i struggle during the day during New York and London…I don’t get it, my IBFX which i use at night at home is getting really nice profit, but my Oanda account which i use during work is just STRUGGLINGG

I think it’s because the asian session moves much more slowly. You might get a big move at the start of the daily candle, 9:00 or 11:00 (im central time), but but other than it moves much slower than than the london US, overlap.
Lots of action and movement in the overlap, but if you get on the wrong side of it, it can hurt.
