Not great for the crypto industry, and certainly not for the US. Could be the breaking point as well for the company to move away from the US, as they’ve suggested.
The Ripple company announcement would appear to have another motive than just informing the public. I would gather Ripple is also hoping to buy some favor with the new administration while putting the issue front and center in the press, rather than just behind the scenes in the court system. Of course the more people that are aware of the issue, the better for the company in my opinion.
