Okay. I’m ready to get serious about backtesting. I’ve spent the last couple of evenings doing it manually but am interested in looking at automated systems. What tools do others use? Software recommendations? Websites? Paid? Unpaid? What pairs do you focus on? Etc., etc., etc. I’m open to all suggestions. Thanks!

Focus on major pair. At first, try the unpaid version.

I’ve never backtested because my Ichimoku strategy has stood the test of time, and with similar wave patterns throughout history it’s straightforward.from viewing current charts.

Unpaid version of what? Do you use a specific software?

It is free and more accurate than Metatrader 4 .
“backtesting” is part of algorithmic trading, so to get serious you have to read books of algo trading.

Thanks for the link. I agree it is useful. I subscribed to TradingView a few weeks ago, and my Forex testing plan has been delayed by other things in life. This link has been added to my “to do list” so I can review it again once I get back into my trading plan (soon I hope)
