Signal Alerts by email and text message

Hi. I’m looking for a site that can provide Forex signal alerts by email or text message. I’ve found several that give you price alerts and even a few that offer indicator alerts.

I’m specifically looking for an alert that only happens if all my set parameters match up…(EMA’s cross, RSI at a certain level, etc.) So I want one alert if everything lines up.

Any help?

Thanks

Hi Donkeyjaw,

If you wanted an email or text message alert for when any single indicator was triggered, then that could be done without any programming. However, since you are looking to have the signal sent to you when a combination of indicators are all triggered, this would require some programming. And if you do get this programmed, would you also want to have trades automatically placed in your account when your programmed conditions are met instead of just having an email or text sent to you?

Hey Jason. I’m actually a member of FXCM. I thought about having FXCM create and automatic trading program that would place the trades for me. The 2 problems with that is I have a MAC and I will not use Windows or parallels. I talked to someone at FXCM about incorporating an automated trading strategy into the web trader and they said it was possible. The other reason I don’t want to use an automated strategy is because like most strategies, mine works best in trends. So during the hours when the currency pairs are flat there would be a lot of fills that would pan out.

Please could request assistance from the thread starter to be profitable. It is indeed very complicated, because the strategy is quite varied. Furthermore, do not forget tonight NFP.

I would recommend paying a coder to take care of that for you.

After back testing this strategy for the EUR/USD if I used a 1:1 ratio I would have 7 wins and 3 losses. If I used a 2:1 ratio it would be like 6 wins and 4 losses. So if my goal was $100 my profit on the 1:1 would be $400 for the 10 trades and $800 on the 2:1 ratio.

I want to mention something. Instead of $100 I meant 10 pips

Hi Donkeyjaw,

If you decide to go the automated route, one solution is to use a virtual private server (VPS) and connect to it remotely using your Mac. The VPS would run Windows, so you could use Trading Station or some other Windows-based platform like MT4 or NinjaTrader to automate your strategy. Another advantage of using a VPS is that you can keep your programs running 24-hours a day, even if your Mac is turned off or disconnected from the internet.

It’s my pleasure, David
