Hi guys, I am new to forex trading but I have been trying to learn as much as I can. I have a few questions that I would love to get answered to help further my understanding.
- Since some markets close at a specific time (e.g. London market is active 8GMT - 16GMT), how are we still able to trade in those markets outside of those stated hours?
- I’m using the MT4 platform. How do I know which broker to choose and their time zones?
- If anyone is using mac, what is a trading platform I can use without running windows?
Thanks!
Hey Jezzode, awesome, thank you for that!

Your broker does not have to be in your time zone. FX markets are basically open 24/5. Instead of focusing on your time zone you may want to place more attention to finding a broker that offers you the most. You will get the MT4 from every broker, but requotes, slippage and order execution are things you may want to consider. I can recommend PaxForex to you. They also process deposits/withdrawals very fast.
