I made my first trades in my demo account today and seem to have an issue. My intention was to make two separate trades on the same pair: both with the same stop loss, but only one with a take profit. The issue is when making any adjustment to either of the individual trades (adding or modifying stop loss/take profit) it automatically applies the adjustment to both. Anyone know how to fix it? Everything I’m finding online just explains how to set stop loss/take profits.
Also, there was a 200 point minimum for stop loss and take profit for the pair (CAD/CHF). I imagine that’s broker specific, but is that a common occurrence? I haven’t come across minimums in the research/reading I’ve done.
I’m using mt4 to trade and IG is my broker.

There’s always a min. stop-loss distance from entry but 200pts is massive. I am quoted right now min. SL distance on this pair at 1 pip - that’s 0.0001. I just put an order on and set the SL 1 pip below to test it. 200 pips SL is huge.
I also tested setting two separate orders with same SL but one TP on one trade. It works fine for me - but only if they are two separate trades, I can’t set half of the single trade to have a TP and half to not - that’s actually two trades, not one trade that later splits in two.
Appreciate you testing it for me. I tried again and attached some pics of what I am doing. I added the two separate trades (bottom of trade window). I originally had one with a TP and the second one I had 0.0000 selected. It changed both to 0.0000. The next pictures are of me adjusting only one to add the TP back in and when I select modify, it changes both again. Not sure if it’s something specific through IG?
Agreed on the 200 pip SL/TP being ridiculous. It completely negates that trade for me but I figured I’d play around with making orders anyway. Another pair was 50 pips. If that is just the broker I’ll just end up looking for another to demo on.

. If you want save chart or terminal, you can use option in MT4 Open “File” then choose “Save as picture…” Regards Greg

Im having the same problem. Did you ever figure it out?
I’m also having the same issue with two orders of the same pair. Changing one TP moves the other as well. I’m on a Forex dot com demo MT4 account. Anyone have any ideas?
