Starting Forex LIVE account

I am starting out forex and a live account and was wondering if anyone could give me the following information

  1. What is the best broker to start out with 50$ which also accepts metatrader platform :o
  2. What is the settings i should use of FAP Turbo(scalping) for the account

could someone please help me?

May I ask what you mean by starting out? If you’ve never traded a demo, do not open a live account.

In response to the first question, I use IBFX which offers the MT4 platform and mini accounts. I am unsure of the minimum deposits but I started with an initial deposit of $200. They have been excellent so far.

I’m not sure about the second question, hopefully somone who has used the EA can be of help.

I don’t like EAs  they take the fun out of it for me.

i said it wrong, im starting out a live account. :stuck_out_tongue: ive done demo account for a week now. i got the hang of it basically cause its just like rs merchanting but real life lol. But yeah, i think its fun at some points to do it yourself but EA’s are a dream come true :stuck_out_tongue: i found this broker: liteforex.org and got another demo acc to test out there ā€œmicroā€ acc’s. :stuck_out_tongue: you only got to start with 25 :o

If you are going to use FapTurbo, use the most conservative settings. I had it on the most agressive settings once and it lost half my account in one trade. Fortunately it was only a demo account. Because of that experience, I wouldn’t use it live.

One thing I don’t like about fapturbo is it uses a big stop loss. One loss can wipe out a lot of small wins.

ok so not to burst your bubble…but you might as well kiss that money goodbye. First of all, almost every EA is crap. Yes some pull a profit but in the long run they crap out. Like you said, EA’s are a dream come true. If it was possible to make a lot of money using an EA everyone would be doing it.

Now, as for what you said in your post. A week is NOWHERE near long enough to demo before going live. Most people suggest 6 months to a year of solid demo trading before moving up to live.

To give you some perspective, I’ve been learning about and trading for about 3 years, of which I’ve blown like 2 live accounts and probably 600 bucks. I’ve pretty much gotten the hang of it now, but it’s been a tough road. There’s so much to learn.

Best advice I can give you is demo trade until the summer. Once you can pull a good month or two of consistent profits then head to a live account…but a small one. Open an account with Oanda. Their charts suck, but they let you use any lot size you want. You can still use Metatrader…just do your chart work with that and place your trades through Oanda.

If you still decide to just jump right into the EA don’t be surprised if you lose your money in a couple weeks.

wow that was a good response

I agree to disagree - I’m not really an experienced trader just yet but the EA that has worked best for me so far has been Megadroid. Although others have had their losses and success I have yet to see any loss.

I do agree that at some point it’s going to stop working as the market changes but it’s (at least from my point of view) a long way till it does. And hey, somebody will code another EA when this one stops working … Anyway, they’re indeed over-hyped products that pretty much suck without some tinkering that makes it worth the money .

Matt Jones .

I can’t answer your FAP question as I don’t use FAPTurbo but IBFX will let you have a mini account with $50, I think they may still have the promotion where they will give you $50 to open an account, take a look. They also use MT4, and you can trade nano lots with them as well.

Nano lots? I have heard of full, mini and micro but not nano lots. A tenth of a penny?

With Oanda you can trade as little as one unit of base currency. That’s the way I started. Well not with just 1 but with 100
