“INDICATOR OF THE DAY” - HEAD & SHOULDERS TOP
One of the most common and popular pattern formations in technical analysis is the Head & Shoulders Top. According to definition “the pattern forms after an uptrend, and its completion marks a trend reversal. The pattern contains three successive peaks with the middle peak (head) being the highest and the two outside peaks (shoulders) being low and roughly equal. The reaction lows of each peak can be connected to form support, or a neckline.” The projected downside once the neckline is broken should be equal to the amount from the neckline to the head. In the chart below we can see this formation on the hourly Cable chart and we would recommend watching closely for a break of the neckline over the coming session. No trade is recommended at this time however.
