Why can’t i place a stop loss on MT4 just below my entry price? I’m on IBfX.
Also, why can’t i move the stop loss line on the chart directly?
All brokers have a minimum distance your SL has to be from your entry price. It’s pretty low on IBFX. I know stoplosses of 5 pips are allowed…
MT4 just wasn’t engineered to allow you to move the stoploss line on your chart and adjust the stoploss on the order as well. You can right click on the order in the terminal window and select “Modify” where you can change the stoploss there, and it will move the line on your chart. That’s just the way it is 
Take a look at GFT if these things begin to bug you a lot. I’m considering just to get a better workflow with these little quirks.
Have yet to test MT5 though. I’m not sure if these little features will be there. Anyone know?
Yes, you can change SL and TP values by dragging the lines on the chart in MT5.
