Struggling about trading pullbacks

complex pullbacks always get me. what i’m doing is avoiding entering until a complex pullback forms… which causes me to miss out on trades where a simple pullback forms.

but if i enter when a simple pullback forms then i’d get stopped out because a complex pullback will form. it’s like the universe is conspiring against me lol.

any help with this? thanks in advance.

Can you post a chart ? Are you trading ABCD corrections or a bounce off previous structure? How do you quantify a complex or simple pull back ?

I find it easier to enter the trend after the breakout of the pullback. There are very few traders who can successfully enter during the pullback phase of a trend. I’m not saying it’s impossible, but it is just easier to trade the breakout. Sure you lose a few pips, but it’s important to get confirmation of trend continuation.

There are so many different kinds of pullbacks, it’s insane. Instead of trying to figure out which one has developed, try this. The next time you are long, try entering after a strong break past the previous higher high. Be sure to enter only after the current candle has closed to avoid false breaks. Hope this helps.
