Aside from Babypips school and reading books are there any recomendations on an internet based learning system that is free. I am looking for the basics of Forex trading and not a “system”. There is so much info out there and it can get pretty tedious weeding out the scams. Thank you…
If you’re looking for the basics and not a system as of yet, that’s all you really need. There are a few forex forum sites that offer insight but really, the forums delve into a WIDE variety of issues.
I started with the babypips school, did a little bit of reading on candlesticks, then just started applying some of what I learned in demo accounts.
I’m not yet a live trader, nor would I consider myself the least bit experienced. At the same time I think I’ve moved out of the newbie phase and am getting a grasp of what is going on.
Once you get through the babypips school you’ll find yourself asking different questions and understanding different theories. If one thing in particular interests you, follow it and it’ll take you through your own learning and finding a style. That worked for me when I wanted to know why candlesticks were so popular.
Good luck in your findings! I also suggest checking out forex4noobs. The site/blog is excellent for simple ideas and has great writeups that I’ve made prints of and read. I’d also check out forexfactory which is another forum with interesting threads and info.
Take a look at actionforex.com/contentcategory/free-downloads/. It’s from the ActionForex website.
I watched some videos there that were helpful.
Ah almost forgot! I stumbled across this on youTube.
Type in a search for fxbootcamp and you’ll find a user who posts videos I beleive daily of trades. In the profile you’ll find some good instructionals on different indicators and their usage.
Goes a little further than the basics but is a good watch if you have the time.
Anyway anyone knows who wrote the school of babypips? I saw big-pippin name appears several times in the materials but not sure if he’s the one who wrote it though.
Where do I find the current interest rates for currencies?
Mac trader, there are thousands of websites that show current interest rates. You will see that if you type “interest rates” into google search. And one of the websites I can recommend is forextv.com
Thank you,
