The case for the Fibonacci 11.8% Level

Many people are not aware that 9% and 14.6% are weak levels of support/resistance on the Fibonacci scale.

When applied sequentially in Fibonacci methodology we see that 9 and 14.6 are relevant to other official Fibonacci Levels.

9 + 14.6 = 23.6

14.6 + 23.6 = 38.2

23.6 + 38.2 = 61.8

At one time I used to keep both the 9% and 14.6% levels on my Fib. After much testing and practical use I ended up taking the average of 9% and 14.6% and used that instead which brought me to the 11.8% level.

(9+14.6) ÷ 2 = 11.8, the midpoint of 9% and 14.6%.

23.6 ÷ 2 = 11.8, the midpoint between 0% and 23.6%

So like the 50% level which is not a true Fibonacci level but rather the midpoint between 38.2 and 61.8, the 11.8 has found it’s way into my heart and onto my chart.
