The finest in trend trading

I am sorry that I cannot help with the MT4 stuff but I see that you are sorting that out amongst yourselves.

If there are real problems then I shall send a private message to DodgeV83, who is an expert in this area.

Thank you for giving the answer and saving me the trouble, mkbrooks.

That is a very nice picture of you in the avatar!!

PLEASE NOTE

Because of the speed this thread is growing and the monotony of my answers to questions…

…If you think you know the answer to a question or problem somebody has posted, then please feel free to answer that question or problem.

…this act of answering other questions will help all readers greatly in your learning process…

…the reason this works is because you are active and no longer passive.

This also has the effect of taking the weight and burden off me and allows me to present new material only.

Welcome also to this thread mobius435.

Hope you can gain something from here too!!

I see that you got this set of indicators out of the ICHIMOKU trading system.
Coming off the high, if I remember rightly??

There are a host of combinations possible here.
I have thought about this too but have not had the time during my holidays to check it out. :o

I did check out the method using Weighted moving averages in the MMACD.
They turned out to be too quick and created far too many whipsaws.

We still, however, have to look at the signal line.
You may be suitably impressed with this.

as soon as tymen saw this pics i´ll erase them so they don´t disturbe the thread.

No leave it - don’t do that.
I will want to refer to it later if it shows an improvement!!

I will answer this matter separately, but right now, I am not pleased that you speak out of complete ignorance!! :frowning: :frowning:

Exactly!! :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue:

I agree with PTB on this one.

Could you please use the wonderful GFT chart facilities to greatly magnify that entry section where you have drawn the 2 candles.

The fact that the entry candles cross the BB is not important.

The method that is used in Philippe Cahen’s book, Dynamic Technical Analysis actually requires 2 entry candles crossing the BB as a pre-requisite to trading.

What is important is that the price action continues in the direction of the trend you have chosen!!

You should not be trading this method at all.

It is by no means complete.

Bit like living in a house that is only partly built - the roof is not yet on!! :stuck_out_tongue:

You can’t blame a student for being eager, I only wish i was this focused in college.

Now for this complex post >>>

Post #642 actually.

Closed is correct.

The green line goes straight thro the middle of the red candle.
When the red candle close is completed, the zero crossover of the MMAD is also registered.
We can then enter at this close.

???
This is a discussion post.

Finally, I have one last question regarding the charted in Post #647

 This is a post by Didilut.

I will carefully answer your questions if you will give me the correct post numbers!!
Your original post is kept here so I can refer back to it!! :)

Amen to that.

It is late here and I have medical appointments in the morning.

I have yet to answer the questions by xXTrizzleXx and reply to the accusation that forex is gambling.

I intend to prove that forex is not gambling beyond any shadow of a doubt!!

Completion tomorrow!! (Ahhh - Friday!! :D)

hello everyone …
I will post a small indicator, compared with MMACD 50 / 3
it is sometimes faster, you have to see if it can be useful.
best regards:)

sorry i can’t copy the file here:(

it’s ok for the indicator I am e very real nwebie:D

DM_RangeFactor.zip (2.78 KB)

Are this the same DMRangeFactor in MQ4 form?
Two attached MQ4 form in one .zip file, therefore editable. Would be nice if anybody would try to post the .MQ4 form so anybody could improve (or try to improve/change) on the code. After all we are here to learn, share, improve and try to make money.

DMRangeFactor.zip (2.51 KB)

Good news!

Thanks to the wonderful people at FxCodebase (I will not provide the link, you’ll have to Google them - shouldn’t be hard to find), who coded it for me (because I have no idea how to code, and Marketscope 2.0 takes .lua files), I have the indicators for this method - attached to this post.

Again, these are for Marketscope 2.0 users only (FXCM, Tradestation, MF global)

You NEED to have the GMMA indicator installed (not active) on your Marketscope for the GMMACD to work - the GMMACD is edited so the short average is 3 periods, and the long average is 50 periods, so you don’t have to worry about that.

Enjoy!

Marketscope indicators.zip (1.43 KB)

HUZZAH, Aarnog! Well done and thanks much-ly!

Yes and No, it is the DMRangeFactor in MQ4 form. Therefore just double click it, MT4 platform will open the editor and then compile it. Insert it into your indicator folder and “voila” you can insert it in your chart. At the same time if you like to change it, you change it before compiling then compile and you have your own version if you did not make an error. Compile will let you know if there is an error.
Credits and who made it are always in the top section.
