The good the bad and the ugly

Even though a trade ends up as a winner, you must still analyse your decision afterwards to determine whether you followed your method.
Conversely, good trades can end up with poor results through bad management.

The good (Good structure but missed opportunity)

The bad (Bad entry structurally. good result.)

The ugly. (Good entry, ugly trade management)

Wise words. Plan to win, not to be lucky.

Nice charts, as ever …

The good: very nice - typical “Bob Volman” price action. I’d have missed it, too (through not trading GBP/JPY, in my case - what’s your excuse? )

The bad: even nicer - 302 pips not to be sneezed it. What’s this “MXN” currency - Mexican Peso, I suppose? Not often seen in these parts: some people will trade anything (and why not, if it’s worth 302 pips to you? )

The ugly: my sympathies - we’ve all “been there; done that”. (You’d also have liked the higher of your two MA’s to have been sloping downward a little bit more, probably?).

Keep them coming …

thanks lexy. Yep that Mexican moves pips something crazy and it respects levels beautifully! Gold is the same, on the right timeframe it loves levels. Expensive though but spread is recovered pretty quickly. when I look at eurusd I see absolutely nothing it’s just one big mess and unfortunately the charts that I can read are also the most expensive
Missed that move on gj because I was too focused on a German setup that didn’t materialize…tunnel vision all us males suffer with.

Thanks for such nice charts. And yes it i true that in forex market we have to reevaluate the trading strategies after some period of time and decide whether the trade management is in right track. And we should evaluate our trading journey to determine actually our trading is meeting to the standard set by us as trading goals.

Yes. You are right. That’s why trade management and keeping a journal are very important. Journal helps us to keep the track of our previous trade entry, exit and the reason behind opening or closing the trades. It also helps us to learn from our mistakes.
