This Week's Question: Is there a life lesson you keep having to learn and relearn?

It’s a brand-new year!

While we’d all want to embrace the “New Year, New Me” mantra, life has a funny way of repeating certain lessons—no matter how much we think we’ve mastered them. The same challenges could resurface in different forms—like struggling with patience, setting boundaries, or learning to trust yourself.

These moments can feel frustrating, like you’re stuck in a loop, or they can be eye-opening, offering a deeper understanding of yourself and your choices. Sometimes, they even turn out to be life-changing, pushing you to grow in ways you didn’t expect.

Is there a life lesson you keep facing again and again? Why do you think it keeps happening, and how do you work through it?

When I first started trading, I had loss after loss and I didn’t really understand why. In the moment I didn’t understand why.

I did my analysis again and made small changes. And I was learning, but it was a slow process.

For me, the important thing was to keep trying, and learn something from each loss.

My emotions have always been a big challenge to my trading. But I’m happy to say that I believe I’ve been more effective in keeping my cool. I know that separating your emotions from your trades is the best way to go  , but I guess it just can’t be helped that I get sad and down whenever I end up losing trades that I thought would for sure win.

Not a life lesson but more a trading lesson lol - my stop loss problem is still an issue which in essence is really just greed/lack of attention to detail. It keeps happening because if I were to be real honest with myself, maybe I’m just not taking it seriously enough.

The lesson that life doesn’t always go as planned, no matter how much you prepare. I keep relearning to let go, adapt, and trust the process, even when things feel uncertain or out of control.

I do face challenge of being patient, especially when things don’t go as planned. It is like a constant reminder to trust process. How’d you handle it?

A life lesson for maybe many of us is a four letter word beginning with F.

When we are young and have little experience it factors less, then as life progresses we see ‘failures’ in business, trading, relationships, even health and the F word raises it’s head more & more.

This word causes us to set our SL closer. to not take a trade, to hit the close button on 1st sign of profit.

That word is fear.

How to work thru fear is not as easy as recognizing it - that answer maybe for others more experienced.

The most challenging life lesson that keep bothering me …

Mostly self control. There were many times I got too emotional for unpredictable incidents. Even I have done a lot of meditation, sometime I got snapped, almost lost my tamper. I’m not trying to have angelic heart, but I had many traumas in the past, being bullied and harassed by many, friends, school teachers and thugs.

When it gets triggered, the past memories comes up, it hurts my mind, rising anxiety and sometime hurting my chest.

No body is perfect, but I will always try to do the best I can.
