TopGun

Does anyone have any experience with TopGun software? If so, what do/did you think?

Hi there rhodytrader,

I am going to be signing up with them this
next week, Monday January 27th.

I will let you know how it goes.

Hi rhodytrader,

Well, I did not get started yet as things are not
going as planned.

I had to wait for some money so I could fund my
account.

I should be started next week and will keep you posted.

Hi rhodytrader!

I just got signed up today with TopGun, I chose FXDD as
my broker.

By the time I finished some of the paper work that need to
be sent it was 5 PM.

If all goes well I should be up and running by Friday.

I will keep you posted.

Well,

I have my account set up and the program downloaded.

I am working on getting my work space in order.

Seems I am missing some passwords to load one of the programs.

I will let you know how it goes and keep you up to date on my trading.

I too will be signing with them and this is after a month of research on brokers and their trading platforms. Have you checked out Topgun’s free 3 day live training class. It will give you a great idea as to how their software works and you can ask questions regarding the software and their recommended brokers. If you like it and want it you can pay for it or sign up with one of their 3 brokers and the software and Esignal are free. You can also read some of Topgun’s reviews on forexbastards.com under LeverageFX, although they are or were listed as “Not Reviewed” there are several reviews posted, which helped me make my decision.

Hi slmdj52, Hi rhodytrader,

Well, I have to say that I love the software and indicators.

Chris really knows what he is doing and it shows in the software
and in the chat room when he is telling you what he is trading
and doing. He tells you when he lost on a trade and when he
has won.

I am making plans to take his mentoring class soon, very soon.

the others in the chat room are very helpful as well. I wish I
would have found them sooner.

I paper traded for 14 month and can say in my opinion that
this is the best move I have made so far.

If you are having trouble making your 20-30 pips a day you have
nothing to lose (except your money) going over and taking a look
at what they offer.

P.S I chose FXDD as my broker, they have been very good and
quick to responde.

Looks intressting.
texton how has it been going since you started a few weeks ago already? I’m curious.

im curious about leveragefx’s software.

if anybody here is actively using them, please provide some information if you can!!!

Well, I have been doing lousy.

I do not want to put the blame on the software but lets face it,
when their advertisement says you should be able to make
20 pips a day and then when you see that you are not they start
pitching you their mentoring program…well it just ticks me off!

I am still a new trader but I’m not stupid and I wasn’t born yesterday.

I have dragged myself out of bed to go into the chat room to hear
Chris give us trade signals but after seeing more bad trades than good
I don’t even bother getting up early to listen to him.

I am so discouraged right now that I have decided that if I lose this
account I will walk away from this and pursue something else.

Now that I have ranted about Chris and his software I want to say
this.

Chris, in my opinion, really does want people to succeed and he does
everything he can to do that.

Nothing is guaranteed, especially in the FX market.

I would still recommend that if you want to try it that you will gain more
knowledge and insight into the market.

Hopefully I won’t lose this account and maybe things will begin to click
and I will work past this tuff time I am having and become the next
George Soros.

P.S Please do not let my discouragement detour you from your own
success.

Respectfully,

Jess

I’ve been trading live since feb 04 and really, this software makes things way easier.

Most people need 3-4 weeks to get used to it but I was able to jump right in after watching the vids. I didn’t care for the classes because it just went too fast and I got irritated. I would suggest that you take your time with the software and study technical analysis more.

Also, I ignore some of the indicators, like the reversal and snap-back because like someone had said - its not a good idea to let the software think for you.

I was also pretty daunted by all the indicators, and if you’re a brand-spanking newbie, you have my sympathies with trying to understand it all.

If you decide to continue with it, the software, don’t follow every thing verbatim. You have to keep what works for you and toss the rest. Try this for example…use the Forex Cumulative Tick and watch the numbers it puts out…use the adx, macd and stochastic settings as advocated, and the Buy/sell pressure gauge. Focus on the 50ema, and balance point, and use the chandelier stops. If its uptrend, then gets close to a chandelier stop, buy…bear market do the opposite…or just wait and watch the balance point / 50 ema…I mean, if you can understand support and resistance and trade with the trend (and only with the trend) you’re halfway there.

From what you posted though, I really think you may be too new for the software and may have some issues with trusting certain things, like Fib retracements, and indicators. and if you’re too new to have a trading style of your own, you’ll have to develop one and that will take time.

Hang in there and be patient. There’s $$$ to be had, but it won’t come on a silver platter. Try trading a single mini, or just go on demo. FX is hard and it takes lots of time. You’ll just have to put your time in, and learn.

Hi solidsmoke,

Thank you for the encouragement.

I am hanging in there.

One of the things I realized after writing my
post is I need to really change my attitude.

If I keep thinking I’m a failure and thats all
I see then thats all I’m going to get as I will
quite even trying to succeed.

Again thank you for the encouragement.

texson,
i think you were in the paltalk room room at one time and i tried to get your attention. but you ignored me…:frowning: i dont have TG yet so i’d like to ask a few questions about how it performs… if thats ok. talk to me sumtime on there, i’m forexcajun. thanx!

Hi forexcajun,

sorry, I did not see that you were trying to get my attention.

If you still have questions just IM me on paltalk.

they put some new tools in the software for trading with the trend. one is the half-day multimap indicator, and a 3 day multimap indicator. i’m opening my account within the next 2 weeks so i’ll post how i’m doing. cant wait!

lol same here I’ll be opening my account in about 2 weeks as well. Have you decided which broker to go with? I’m leaning more towards Velocity4x than FXDD based on the reviews I’ve read online. I’m very excited to get started as well!! I took the 5 day free demo went to the training room yesterday and seems pretty good and informative and still on the border if I should shell out some money to learn some more and also learn the trend following system. What are your thoughts on the training he’s offering?

hey francob, i’m going to use forex.com as my broker. they offer free esignal as long as you trade 10 MINI lots per month. I cant trade 10 standard lots since my account is only going to be 1k usd.

well, i’m going to trade with the trend, even tho most of chris’s strategies are for counter trend. also, USE THE PALTALK ROOM… those guys call out trades and most of them are pretty good. i have only seen 1 losing day, which was because they were ambushed by news.

‘‘bradtrader’’ and ‘‘motorcitymark’’ are the best traders in the paltalk rooms.
‘‘leveragefx’’ is chris, but he calls fewer trades.

so how are you going to use the Top Gun Software? How much would be the cost to use it? I am putting in $3000 to open a mini account as well and just hope I can make the 100 mini lots a month requirement. 10 mini lots a month does sound a lot better, but I wonder what the monthly cost is to use top gun.

Found the answer to my question. Cost is $150/month
Thats a little too steep for me monthly. Specially just starting out with my first live account. I’ll post how I’m doing here as well when I do get started. Looks like i’ll be going with Velocity4x

Thanks for your tips. What time are you going to be trading? I live in CA and I try my best to stay up all night but still not use to it. I end up sleeping at around 3am and miss the start of the US session. Any recomendations of ideal times to be up and trading? What time does everyone in paltalk start trading and post signals?

ok, chris offers a free 7 day trial for topgun software. i’m going to use that, and i will ask him if i can have an extra few weeks. i know it sounds like begging, but i will still be signing up with him as my IB on forex.com.

i will get started and load all my charts at 7:00 am EST, and i’ll trade until about noon when the london session closes. this is the highest volatility time of day, and the good traders are calling trades in Paltalk so i’m going to follow them and learn.

one thing about velocity i kinda dont like is 100:1 leverage. but you will be ok with a 3k account. i have heard wonderful things about the velocity staff, they care about their customers.

Great! Thanks for your help. Hope we both do very well.
