Is this normal?
I have been seeing this off and on. the action moves past my TP but nothing happens. Is this MT4 or OANDA?
Look also at the spread and slippage This can be the cause of it
If the difference between that low and your TP is less than 5 pips (50 points) and this is one of the 28 main FX pairs, then yes it is spread. Looking at the type of bars and patterns I am pretty sure this is a short timeframe shart (under H1)?
I believe you guys are right about the spread. I hadn’t considered that on closing the position. Thanks.
Do you trade automated?
Maybe you had a requote, or it was busy and you missed a couple of ticks. At a rate of 400 ticks per second (it happens) there is the change that you don’t receive all ticks. Or your closeorder was sent but invalid at arrival.
Even when caused by spread and slippage it should have been triggered, it probably was triggered but went wrong in execution.
