‘trade context is busy’. even when i trade more than one pair with only one expert advisor. Any suggestions for not have this message for the tradings i want?
Hello,
I know this isn’t the best solution, but I have found it to work the fastest. When I get that message that the context is busy I quickly close the metatrader platform then reopen it. It usually takes less than a minute to do but it has never failed to put me back in the game. Hope this helps!
You could have a loop in your order handling code which is nailing the trade server. What’s your trade logic code like?
Hey Tarrentino,
I have no clue as to my coding. Unfortunately…I am the “butter knife in the draw” when it comes to anything that involves the inner workings of the computer. I know how to turn the thing on, get around to places I need to go and to work the EA’s I’ve purchased. As far as how the darn thing works…I’m clueless in Alexandria, Virginia:confused:
Heidi
Heidi,
I hear you! If you’ve got a number of EAs which have live trade options it’s possible they could interfere with each other. If you’ve got a work around then that’s cool. To be honest, unless you’ve got source code there’s not much you can do about it anyway.
Hello everyone.
I am new in this trading field and dont know much about how to trade to earn better profits, So please suggest me some website that helps me in earn more.
it’s brokers being idiots.
It could also be that the order attempting to be placed is incorrect. For instance, your broker may have restrictions on how far the stop loss has to be. Or perhaps you are attempting to place a limit order that is too close to price.
Very True. Sense Mt4 is only capable of processing and sending 1 function at a tick, modifying orders, or opening/ closing orders can have issues if more than 1 function is trying to process at a time. Yes it is more so the broker than the platform, but the platform is just that way too…
do you think mt5 will resolve this?
Thanks for your solution for the “Trade Context Busy” message! I had the problem today and your solution worked perfectley!
