bump…
MT5 is still quite new, most coders, traders and brokers are not very inclined to make the switch yet. I don’t think you’ll find much for MT5/MQL5.
Be the first - MT5 has an EA builder, I think its called a wizard and it offers all the basics. A coder is not needed unless some fancy option is required.
Hi marketdeal,
There is a good book on MT5 “Expert Advisor Programming for Meta Trader 5” written by Andrew R Young. All code is downloadable from their website. The book was $39 but I got mine a bit cheaper from Amazon. Well worth the money.

Are ALL of your posts about this book?
Hi ClarkFX
Boring I know, but so many people seem to want help, but in the end it has to come from themselves. I used this book to build my first EA and when I got stuck I emailed the author and he emailed me back with advice.
I am 65 and and enjoy my trading and trying out new trading ideas. So many want EA’s but the trading system has to fit the trader, so in the end even if you pay for an EA you will need to tweak it to suit your needs.
My advise to anyone is to first get a freely available indicator. Learn a bit of MQ4, then mod the indicator to give the signals you think would work as a trading system. Then use this as the basis for your EA.
All I am saying is this book is a cheap way to learn to code a EA. It appears to me that many individuals on this forum would benefit by reading this book. It worked for me.
