you can, depending on your broker leverage
My first live account was only $30 of free money. I think it was Trading.com that gave me a sign on bonus. Create an account, deposit a couple bucks and hit the trading requirement and they give you $30. I think thatâs how it went.
Traded that for several weeks.
Itâs hard seeing cents and single dollars added. But if you look at the % gains, youâll be fine. But I think it might be too small. Iâd save more money and then try again. Better yet, demo for longer!
Are there Prop account that allow small amounts to learn trading with? $100, $250, $500
Why would anyone want this?
I hope not, given that you need $250+ to trade a microlot (0.01 lots) safely.
The smallest prop firm account Iâve seen, myself, is $2,000 (Maven Trading). Costs $15 to try.
You get the same on a demo, minus the feeling of trading with real month. I would trade demo with whatever amount you think you can start with on a real account. So not the $50K or even $10K unless thatâs the account size youâre starting with when you go live.
See if you can stay profitable on demo, and then start live. Are you trying to get the feeling of trading live money and bigger size, just for a smaller âbuy-inâ? I mean, that could work, but then youâve got the pressure of the prop firm challenges to keep your account up and running, plus learning. I donât think thatâs the best way to handle your money.
I realize that they want you to also have skin in the game. I know there are no guarantees and there is always risk of loosing everything. But when I donât have a lot to risk, I do not want to risk all my capital until I see if I can read trends and be successful with small trades. Then I can deposit $2k if I need to with the Prop firm.
I donât quite understand your point, sorry.
You donât need to âdepositâ with a funding company/prop-firm.
You just pay a small (sometimes refundable) fee and if you pass the evaluation, they âfundâ you.
Thanks for the response⌠Thatâs true I donât understand how they work and which one to go with. Tried to sign up with trading-dot-com but they want access to everything on my phone⌠data, contacts, text, photos, etc. and I will not allow that. I use a PC.
Hi @joejett, this simply indicates that you canât trade yet. You have to learn, itâs wiser to use demo account. If you need to challenge yourself, you can use Cent Account. you can have start 2 000 US Cent and trade normally.
Donât waste your money with prop firm, the rule in prop firm is not beginner friendly.
Trading needs no luck. It needs a true solid skill. You can have it by learning it with your passion.
I completely agree.
From what youâve said, I donât think you should be looking at prop firms. By the way, @joejett, trading-dot-com is a forex broker, not a prop-firm. (It does appear to be a proper and well-regulated one, but I completely take your point about access to phone data. I trade only from a PC, myself, and wouldnât dream of trying to trade from a phone anyway.)
