Trading journal, 50K one phase

Good day my fellow traders.

The gods have giving me a 50k IF one-phase challange, with a 10 procent profit target.

Will be using a simple London Breakout out strategy on EURUSD.

Will be using 1.3 procent risk per trade.

When i am in a bad DD, i will lower my risk to 0.5 a trade.

I close all trades 1 hour before market close.

The trade of today, its looking good.

I always use a 30 Pip TP, SL is the first 1 HOUR candle of the london opening.

When RR is less then 1:1 i dont take the trade.

Sounds a good thing to try, and a sensible way to try it. Wishing you good luck with it, and thanks for posting your Journal here. Many of us will be watching with fingers crossed for you.

Just a tiny bit surprised to hear this part. I’m guessing you must have backtested and shown that this is the right thing to do, overall? I’m asking just because I know some people using this and/or very similar methods who always take the trade right down to an R of 0.5:1, and say that in the long run it pays?

But good luck anyway, and welcome to the forum! :sunglasses:

Good luck with it, Bobo.

(10% seems rather high? The $50k evaluations I’ve seen require $2,500 or $3,000 profit. There’s presumably no time-limit?).

Jup, 30 PIPS TP is good for this:)

Yeaah, there is no time limit.

Trade is coming down again.

Few hours to go still.
I think we end the day in a small loss, or small profit.

And thats fine.

Alright, today ended in a full lose. So, -1 R.

good morning.

NFP today, lets see if i can end this week in the plus.

RR is 2.3 so thats fine.

alright, we are in a long.

Lets see how that works out.

SL is close.

eurusd creeping up again, NFP in 45 minutes. ■■■■ will hit the fan.

20 min till NFP, will be taking 0,50 % off both trades for safety

Bad day,

Did NOT stick to the plan. I am not trading NFP ever againXD

At -3.5% now.

Got a xauusd trade open at +1 R right now.

Leaving for some hours.

If BE hits. It’s -3.5
