From reading the posts, it seems that mt4 is the preferred software, I am a newbie, and I started on a demo using trading station, which isn’t really user friendly, but once you get used to it, I find it more visually appealing. Any reasons why to use mt4 over trading station, or maybe another software? My trading style would be to get 5-10 pips minimum before I close a trade. Thanks for any input!
Because mt4 is available from most brokers, it is easy to change broker without having to get used to a totally new platform again.
What I like the most with MT4 is to import live data into Excel and then use excel charts and formulas to do Technical analysis together with other statistics imported via other plugins.
I’ve been using these two platforms for years on my real account.
MT4 is more useful in analyzing your investment performance and more suitable when you use EA. It runs faster on your phone ( of course, it doesn’t matter if you aren’t trading in 1 min).
However, TS2 is more visible with colorful charts, and I feel it more helpful on the laptop especially when I need to draw lines.
So it depends on what kind of frequency and technique u use:)
You can export table data from tradingstation as well.
MT4 most popular platform. Trade station is very popular too. Each has its pros and cons. You need to choose a broker and watch the proposed platform.
