Most traders have ‘short-sighted’ mentality in their trading – they see the trees, not the forests. After getting 2 or 3 losing trades in a row, they start losing faith, feeling discouraged or even complaining about their strategies or systems. They magnify the losing trades, and conclude that the system or strategy does not work anymore. This is extremely common among traders who constantly seek after new indicators, strategies or perfect systems.
The Winner traders are ‘far-sighted’ in their trading – they see the trees as well as the forests. They know the winning trades will definitely come after the losing trades, and so are the losing trades will follow the winning trades. They possess the PATIENCE and the BIG PICTURE PERSPECTIVE to make them the ultimate winner.
Trading is a journey, it depends on which point we start (the TIMING), either we start at the beginning of an equity growth slope or a drawdown slope, it does not matter. What matters most is we know we will eventually reach our destination of the journey, i.e. the Positive Expectancy of our investment returns!
