Tradingview back test, shifting timeframe problem

hi all
i’m new to trading, and just recently are reading about some methods of trading.
i’m using tradingview to see older charts, however its driving me crazy cause everytime i switch between timeframe, it will come back to the most recent day (today)

is there a way to lock the screen during change of timeframe? (like from 15min chart i shift to 1hr chart)
i am using the lock vertical line on axis but you can still screw through the chart this way.

I was going to send them a message but they wouldnt bother replying to free accounts. plainly thats already a big hint to chose another charting software when the times come, but for now i’ll use that until i find something better

thanks

Yah, that sucks.

I use trading view too, and I love it but that is one annoying free feature. That and not being able to see my margin as a percentage.
I trade with a Chromebook so I can’t backtest with MT4 and I’m too into Tradingview to seriously search out other ways.

I like being able to make strategy scripts though. Or mash all my own indicators into one top or one bottom indicator.

You could try the free trial! Let me know if that works or not. Sorry!

i have no idea about scripts, never looked into them, and im not good at programming, so i guess scripts aren’t for me.

as for the 30day trial, i dont think i’ll try it out just yet. I know overall Trading view looks like a good charting app but since there are other options out there i’ll be looking quickly into them and see what comes out best.

on chart setting uncheck the “auto scroll”

where is it exactly?
the only auto’s i came across are lower right 'auto scale’
or auto fits data on screen in the setting option
