Training courses

Hi Everyone,

I’m trying to learn how to trade the Forex market and am following the school on this website. Can anybody recommend a good training course which is not too expensive and I can go through at my own pace, preferebly with some videos included.
Many thanks in advance

Mike

This site here is a great site. If you like video classes and another great source of information go to the InterbankFX website and checkout their courses for free.

I don’t have an opinion on paid courses except books that can be bought at any major retail book store.

You can google FX Nation Live (or click on my name above and visit my website for a link there & more information) and take 1-2 months worth of his daily live video training, which I did when I first started. He offers a lot of stuff for free as well.

However, as a general rule, hold on to your money, do not start spending on expensive courses or trading systems … get all the info you can for free first, starting right here at Babypips

I checked your link and for $97, it is not bad, there is another one I recommend on my site for a bit less. FX Nation Live charges $99 per month for daily 1 hour online video lessons & you can ask questions. It depends on what learning style works best for you. Anything under $100 you can consider but stay away from the ones asking for hundreds or thousands of dollars for training. You don’t need that, IMO … the best training is some basic info, then get a demo account and start trading, then open a very small micro or mini acct and start trading live … experience will be the best teacher just make sure you have your money management rules in place.

A great learning thread in here is the Candlestick one (in this same Newbie area) by Tymen. He’s a great teacher. Read through the 50+ pages on his thread, that should help get you started. And ask lots of questions

Thanks for the info. I’ll look up these websites.

Just say “no” to expensive, over-hyped, over-marketed FX
courses put together by so-called “gurus”. You are much
better off searching for currency trading books on Amazon
and then reading the readers’ ratings on each listed books.
Then pick 3 or 5 top rated books and study that instead.
It will be cheaper and they won’t be over-hyped or
over-marketed and certainly not spammed to your inbox.

Technical Analysis is simple. It really is. If you read everything on this website’s school and apply it, you will be technically right most of the time. However, forex is not that simple.

Ok, im about to sound like a cook, but all successfull traders will understand. The rest is inside you. You must find what fits your personality. The only way to really find out what will work for you is to download a demo account and trade.

I personally found a really good site that charges $2500 a year to participate, and highly recommend the one I am using. It taught me everything I know, besides what babypips taught me. I wont give their name on babypips or this message may get blocked as spam.

Hint: If you want videos, go to youtube and search Forex training. There is a particular company that has released more than 300 videos and they release a new one each day. There is enough info on there alone to make you a sucessfull trader with time in my opinion.

I have a fantastic site babypips.com… its free and seriously you do not need anything else, just learn about fundamentals here and there and you are good to go. Just don’t go over the school once do it twice or maybe even more and each time I can guarantee that you will learn something that you might have missed before.

Absolutely, pipraider!

GBLUSMC, thanks for that youtube tip.

sometimes I wish babypips charged money for their course and then people would value it more, many of us have the high price=value BS ingrained in our heads. I took many courses some charged 2k+ (I never bought them, many people gave em to me to check em out) and honestly babypips is way better and it is way more entertaining, other courses were so dry I could not even focus and thats coming from a person that likes learning about the financial markets.

You will not find anything different or new from a 5k course vs a course that is offered somewhere on the internet for free unless it is over hyped and unrealistic trading logs of “great systems” that you are looking for… those are usually the ones that cost a lot.

…but I do think the 97$ course is good since its live… sounds good to me.

speaking about courses and recommendations… I can’t wait for Jim Cramer to start doing fx recommendations! lol

They do if you want it as a PDF file. Costs $49.

I have found BABYPIPS school to be the best out there…the courses just take you money…they throw to much at you …my suggestion Demo on FXCM cost no money they do have a little 20 dollar course that wasnt bad
then just stay on babypips, alot of good advice here…you need to TAKE IN everything for a few weeks til you start getting it…GOOD LUCK Very addicting making money starting at a computer while sitting in my underware and have a drink…!!

John Forman’s training is pretty good, has a special a while ago - half price. I bought it, pretty happy with it.

How can you demo on FXCM, they do not offer MT4, or at least not a working version of it yet. I would suggest Interbank FX, Alpari or ODL for demo of MT4 and if you are starting with less than $5k go with a broker that offers micro accounts … wish someone had told me that a few months ago!

When that happens guys … run for the hills!

4Xstar: Have had a look at your website and noticed you have a link to “The 10 minute Forex Wealth Builder”. Any good or just another one of those…?

Where did you find his course? I have his book and always look for his comments on these forums. d

I signed up to his email list, got an email offering the discount course there. Try emailing him, he still may be doing the discount on the course.
