I hope I’m not being too controversial here, but I just found this very interesting. 
I’m not really familiar with American politics, but this is a combination I didn’t expect to see.

In political and electoral terms, it makes complete sense for Trump to go after that demographic.
He would certainly lose a lot of votes by being anti-crypto, and can maybe gain some by being pro-crypto.
There’s quite some overlap between the pro-crypto people and the anti-government, Libertarian, right-wing, conspiracy-theory-leaning people, and all those groups are certainly collectively pro-Trump and anti-Democrat - so that’s part of his natural constituency, and he needs to play to it.
