Almost 3 years ago I tried trading without having any idea what I was doing. As you can guess I did not have much success. The first few days I made incredible profits. But it did not take long for the market to show me that it was not that easy.
I have been doing some studying and have improved. I am still learning but have more good weeks than bad.
I try to look at longer term time frames to gage the trend but I trade the shorter time frames. I look at the 4 and 8 hour time frames to judge the trend. But I look at the 1 hour to try and determine the pivots. Then I use the 5 minute time to enter.
As it is I tend to enter early. I am working on that.
I made a big mistake Wednesday night and lost quite a bit. Note trying to scalp after a few beers is a bad idea. Going to bed with a big trade open with a big stop loss is a really bad idea. Lost about $50 on that.
Keep my cool and went after some good trades.
Ended today with a NAV of 845.37. I still have an open position a EUR/USD short entered at 1.35699. I think this has potential for a big win next week.
I have been keeping a close eye on the debt limit debate and using that info to short rallies in the EUR/USD and this has made for a very good week so far.
I have decided to close the account Forex trading becomes to consuming for me. I can not leave it alone and then I make big mistakes. I will go back to concentrating on my YouTube Cooking Channel James Strange - YouTube
It has been interesting and I did make a few $$ but it takes up to much of my time and I really do not think I have the personality for it.
