UK daylight saving question

Hey guys , this sunday october 25 daylight saving ends on UK. Right now London opens at 7am GMT time. It means that on monday 26 it will open at 8am GMT time?
Thanks

It means that, with the clocks changing that weekend and losing an hour, the market will effectively appear to residents of Europe to have been closed over the weekend for one hour less than would otherwise be the case.

If you’re in a time-zone that isn’t changing its clocks, then to you it will open at a different time on your own local clocks.

During summer time the UK is in GMT+1 when it moves to BST (British Summer Time). Next week it moves back to GMT for the winter. The LO is 8am UK local time so that’s 7am GMT in the summer and 8am GMT in the winter.

That’s incorrect, Lexy.

The U.K. and all of Europe change back and forth from summer time (daylight saving time) to standard time, and vice versa, in unison. Which means that clocks in Europe will change along with clocks in the U.K., and there will be no change to the 1-hour time difference between the two regions.

See HERE for more detail.

Thanks, Clint … I meant to say “an hour more”, not “an hour less”.

“Spring forward, fall back” … so we get an extra hour’s sleep.

So basically LOndon opens at 8am GMT on Monday?

Yep that’s right
