Understanding Time Frames on charts

Hello Traders, I trust you are enjoying trading.

  1. Please I want to know how to Read the time frames and their meaning.
  2. And how do I trade with it?

Your comments will be appreciated.
Thank you

What specifically perplexes you? Example: A M5 time frame is what price did ievery five minutes. After five minutes, the timer stops and then starts again creating a new bar. Each bar you see represents that five minutes and what the lowest price was, what the highest price was, what price was when the timer started and where the price was when the five minute timer ended. A five minute timeframe bar is made up of five one minute bars so if you switch to M1 you will see five bars that give you the same information as one five minute bar. I can post an image if that helps.

Awesome this is definitely a good information. Kindly post the image(s) @longshottrader

Look at the images at the bottom. Not one minute bars within a five minute bar but a good example of what I am saying. You can see smaller frame bars and how they make up larger time frame. I am on mobile so i cannot create a custom one for u
