Well IDK if thats only me or is it everyone, but when i start trading i find myself thinking about everything at once! and I absolutely mean it when I say everything! so, any ways i can stop it?!
Keep it simple. Pick one strategy and commit to it. Before you trade, write down exactly what you’ll do and follow it like a routine. Ignore everything else, social media, news, random advice. If your mind starts racing, step back, breathe, and refocus.
Yes, develop and adhere to a process. Professional traders, athletes, musicians, performers etc all develop and follow their own process for focusing their minds in order to maximize performance. An effective process gets your mind to focus on the right things while eliminating noise and distracting thoughts.
Note: This isn’t “trading psychology” / mental trickery / meditation but about developing effective habits and routines.
Suggest you find books or information sources related to sports psychology. Also read about why pro traders develop pre-trading preparation routines, what they focus on when in a trade and what they do after a trade.
Struggling traders focus on strategy, pro traders focus on process.
Those ten profound words also wouldn’t be out of place in a few hundred other Babyips threads, too.
That happens to a lot of traders, especially in the beginning. The mind tends to wander when there is pressure or uncertainty. A good way to handle it is to prepare a clear plan before trading so the decisions are already made in advance. Once the plan is set, focus only on following it instead of overthinking. Short meditation, breathing exercises, or even stepping away from the screen for a few minutes can also help quiet the noise. Over time the more you trade with structure the easier it gets to stay present and focused.
I actually think about everything not just trading! that includes my ex, my dead pet, the mistakes I made in my life and a lot more! and this makes trading very frustrating for me
Thanks a lot. I will do it rn and if it works i would owe u a lot
